HP secures three sales on day oneHP (A2-D10) signed three major deals on the opening day of Fespa.UK-based Your Print Partner has invested in its second HP Stitch S1000 to enable it to meet growing demand for personalised, just-in-time, textile printing. Spanish business Fragma Espacios has purchased an HP Latex 800W (white), which will allow the firm to expand into more applications, including retail and POS, and signage for events, trade shows and festivals. Finally, German company MaXxprint has bought a Latex 2700W. It liked the machine’s white ink capabilities and bigger colour gamut, as well as the sustainability credentials of water-based latex inks
Fuji highlights Barberán projectFujifilm is showing a scale model of the new HS6000 high-speed single-pass inkjet printer it is developing in partnership with Barberán, in conjunction with a side-by-side comparison of sample images produced on the Agfa Onset and the HS6000. The HS6000 is targeted at high-volume display graphics and the first installations are expected in H1 2024. The complete line is around 25-30 metres long. The samples on display (A1-B10) show a side-by-side comparison of output from the Onset X3 HS printing four-pass at the equivalent of 1,041sqm/hr alongside prints produced by the HS6000 using Fujifilm Uvijet inks and printing at 50m/min or 4,700sqm/hr.
Decal shows off self-adhesivesDecal has brought its five main self-adhesive product lines to Munich, including printable substrates and protective films. The Digidelta subsidiary’s PVC-free films are produced without platicisers and with VOC-free adhesive, and are suitable for UV or latex printing. Joining them are Decal’s Alldecor 2d films, which mimic natural materials like wood and stone while resisting environmental wear. Also on show on B1-C40 are its Polymeric liner PE with double liner layer, printable with UV, latex, eco-solvent and solvent printers; its dot-matrix, repositionable monomeric vinyl suitable for UV, latex and solvent; and its range of overlaminates.
Aleph brings flagship LaforteAleph (A1-D50) has brought the latest model of its top-of-the range Laforte 600 Paper to the show. The 1,000sqm/hr printer is targeted at OOH applications as well as backlits and indoor posters, and the new model is being demonstrated printing with CMYK plus two light colours, using Greenguard Gold certified A22 pigment inks. The Laforte 100 Paper dye-sub printer for sportswear and apparel is also being showcased, using Eco Passport by Oeko-Tex Level 3 certified water-based sublimation inks, including fluorescents and spot colours. It can handle paper from just 18gsm. The Italian manufacturer is also a partner firm of Netlink Imaging.
JK Group highlights sustainabilityJK Group (B1-A10) is using Fespa to highlight the benefits of several of its inks plus its vision in terms of high-quality, heritage, and sustainable innovation. It said Digistar Helios is a dye-sub ink jointly designed with ChromaLuxe to print specifically onto rigid-metal coated surfaces. Digistar E-Sun is a dye-sub transfer ink with an “excellent light fastness” together with “terrific washing and perspiration fastnesses”, high chromatic performances, great drying quickness, and longer shelf life. Finally, Digistar Billboard is a pigment ink for use on paper and cellulose. Boasting “outstanding light fastness”, this ink and Digistar E-Sun both reach 6-7 on EN ISO 105B02.
